For routine cleanings, this place is great. The hygienists are warm, attentive, and very interactive with kids. They are patient and genuinely seem to care about their patients, which makes visits much easier for families. However, if your child may need dental work beyond a cleaning, I would recommend continuing your search. The dentists tend to operate at a very fast pace, with little explanation of procedures or issues. In our experience, there was minimal patience with children, and there was a strong push toward anesthesia or sedation, to the point where treatment was refused without it. If you’re looking for a practice where your child will receive more personalized care and thoughtful communication—especially for dental work—you may want to consider other options.

I first reached out to Mitten Kids Denistry after finding out my toddler daughter needed dental work done due to a dental condition called hypoplasia. The pediatric dental office we worked with previously gave a wait time for completion of work of up to 8 months.. Given we thought that timeline was unacceptable, we reached out to Mitten Kids. They were understanding of my anxiety to wait such a long time for completion of dental work. They got me in for an exam the following week after my initial phone call. They agreed with the work needing done and told me they'd be able to get my daughter in much sooner which is what we'd hoped to hear. Everyone was pleasant, kind, and understanding. My daughter is on the Autism spectrum and is very fearful of dental visits, and this visit required anesthesia to complete the work. To say I was anxious is an extreme understatement. Everyone in the office understood our anxiety and did an amazing job the day of treatment. The entire process went far better than I could've imagined. Everyone involved from the ladies at the front desk, to the anesthesiologist, to the dentist, were incredible. I couldn't recommend this office more.

Great orthodontic care! The staff is great, knowledgeable and treats every patient as if they're the most special person there. Dr. Katie is amazing- puts every kid at ease, so understanding, zero pressure, but knows exactly what steps to take and the most efficient way to get there. They do prizes and tokens to make it a fun experience for kids. Mitten Kids has been a great all around experience for orthodontics.

We have had such a great experience with Dr. Katie for my daughter’s ortho treatments. The team is all so friendly, caring and engaging… and were excellent at handling her occasional tears and concerns. The process was easy and always clear. One Saturday I had to call the emergency line regarding a popped wire but dr Katie replied quickly and gave me careful instructions to fix it myself until the next appointment, and even offered to have us in Sunday if we needed extra help. She’s the best. Highly recommend.

My kids want to go to the Dentist. Mitten Kids has been great for us. They make it easy on us as parents, help the kids enjoy their time, and they have always been open and honest. I know the owners who are also dentists there. They are great people who really care about the patient experience, a safe environment, and an easy process for the parents. It’s highly recommended.
